God is good ----- All the time!

God is good.

ALL the time!

We use this interactive phrase every Sunday. Sometimes several times.

It's not just to see who's awake or engaged, but to put in our own heads the thought that is so necessary to remember 24/7/365:

God. --- He is real. Engages with us. Loves us. Cares for/about us. Is Real.

Is GOOD. --- Not just as opposed to "bad" or "evil," but He is the definition of GOOD. He is working HIS plan for the GOOD of HIS KINGDOM of which we are HIS children/subjects. He

Are you having "one of those days?"

Depression. Worries. Fears. Doubts. Questions.

We have all had days where we felt less than happy, contented or stable.

Those days happen to all of us. However, if you are feeling so stressed that you are not sleeping well, have scary thoughts, or just cannot seem to get motivated to do your daily work, then this is for you.

In John 16:33, Jesus is warning His students of what is coming. The news is not good from their perspective. But Jesus says, "I've told you all this so t

Don't PANIC!!!

Weather is weird!

Earthquakes!

Total Eclipse!

Wars!

Rumors of new wars.

Prices are crazy.

Government is corrupt.

Crime is getting worse.

Blah Blah Blah....

Look, Jesus is coming back one day, maybe sooner than we can imagine. BUT God is in control. He is The Creator; He is in control.

Seriously, HE IS IN CONTROL.

Yes, there is prophecy. But keep it in context. There are signs in the heavens. Yes there are, but they are there often. These things happen to keep us aware of God and to r

It's the Third Day ---- what are you going to do?

What a wonderful day it was last Sunday: Resurrection Day.

Jesus has risen. Jesus is ALIVE!

Those are not just one-day-a-year words to have a ham dinner and eat colored eggs and candy. They are life changing, life affirming, hope=filled truth!!

If Jesus is alive, (and according to 1 Corinthians 15, He most certainly is!) then those words will change the way you see life, live life and feel about your life.

Jesus loves you. Jesus IS love in world of hate & prejudice. Jesus IS t

Resurrection Day is this Sunday!

by: Chaplain Che' Weber

03/27/2024

2

According to the church calendar, Resurrection Day is this Sunday. Don't get me started on "easter" and I also have issues with the Church establishing the Holy week season apart from its roots of Passover, but that is another set of blogs altogether.

Resurrection Sunday is special.

It is the foundation of our faith and hope.

What good would it do to have faith for a little bit of happiness while we are still breathing on this earth, if we did not have eternal hope of what c

What are YOU doing this Sunday?

Esther 9:27 the Jews took it on themselves to establish the custom that they and their descendants and all who join them should without fail observe these two days every year, in the way prescribed and at the time appointed. 28 These days should be remembered and observed in every generation by every family, and in every province and in every city. And these days of Purim should never fail to be celebrated by the Jews—nor should the memory of these days die out among their

Make up your mind

by: Chaplain Che' Weber

When I watch the news, my head feels like it's going to explode.

So much anger. So much opinion but not enough news. So much posturing and politics to sway minds instead of just delivering the details and allowing us to make up our minds.

So many half-truths, manipulated information and plain old lies.

How do we make the right choices? How do we keep our sanity in the chaos?

God says, " Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mi

In the midst of political turmoil, gray rain-filled skies, late winter blues, chasing our paychecks, and the aches & pains of our mortal bodies I have news for you.

YOU ARE LOVED MORE THAN YOU CAN KNOW.

God wants you to realize, not just to acknowledge but to accept, that you have been:

Predestined by Your Creator for great things.

Called by a Loving Father to come Home to His waiting arms.

Justified (made Just_as_if_I'd never sinned) by God's Son, Jesus/Yeshua.

One More Day

by: Che' Weber

02/27/2024

What would you do if God were to give you just one more day?

This Thursday only comes around once every 4 years and this is the year! February 29th is a leap day... one freebie added to your life this week.

Really, think about that.

You have one whole day added to your calendar/life that is not always there to receive. So, what are you going to do with it?

God's word says, "Better is one day in your courts than thousands elsewhere..." Psalm 84:10.

One day in God's House is bet

Count your blessings

The sky is blue -- even though there is ice and snow all around me.

My house is warm -- even though it is below freezing outside.

My home is a quiet, peaceful sanctuary -- even though the world is a mess.

I have food in the pantry/fridge/freezer -- even though I might not have everything I want, I do have everything I need to sustain my health.

I have someone special to love who loves me -- even though we don't have a perfect life.

You get the point? We have so many blessings g

Did you see this ad during the Super Bowl?

by: Chaplain Che' Weber

02/13/2024

3

Well the Super Bowl finally ended last night about 11 pm EST.

It was a surprisingly slow game with only a few exciting moments, and I do not mean the constant glimpses of Miss Swift celebrating in the million dollar box,

My team was not in the game, but I rooted for Andy Reid, just for the record.

What I really was interested in were the commercials. Especially the Budweiser Clydesdales. But that commercial only ran about 15 seconds and seemed to be a shortened version of wh

This video really touched my heart. It showed me how little things can mean so much. We have so many opportunities to lift up struggling people everyday, but if we're preoccupied with our own issues all the time, we miss out! The first guy has talent and time to freely share what he has with those in need. The second guy had a need and accepted the offer. They BOTH got really BLESSED!

What do YOU have that you could share? Do you bake? Cook? Are you an artist? A singer or p

Bob Marley got it right!

by: Che' Weber

01/30/2024

In his 1977 hit song, "Three Little Birds, Bob Marley & the Wailers sang:

"Don't worry about a thing, 'cause every little thing gonna be alright..."

It's a catchy little song. I heard it long ago from when I lived in the islands.

Yesterday was a Monday when everything seemed difficult.

The sky was steely gray & wet for the 4th day.

My soul felt weary & gloomy, burdened with all the bad news from around the world.

I sat talking to Jesus, like I often do these days. I wanted to he

In the movie classic, The Wizard of Oz, the wicked witch dies with the immortal words, "What a world... what a world! You've destroyed my beautiful wickedness.."

Do you feel like things are getting weirder?

God's word says that in the end days of time... People would wander so far from God and others would reject God outright to the point that God would declare, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who but bitter

Do you need some Hugge?

by: Che' Weber

01/16/2024

1

It's been a cold, snowy and blustery week.

At times like this, we like to practice, what the Danes call, Hugge (sounds like Hoo-gah).

Hugge is the practice of surrounding yourself with comfort: warm cuddly blankets, hot drinks, soft pillows, crackling fires... anything that makes you feel snuggly and comfortable in the cold, dark days of winter.

There is nothing wrong with softening the hardness of life while you're nesting at home, but we all know that there are times that w
