Depression. Worries. Fears. Doubts. Questions.

We have all had days where we felt less than happy, contented or stable.

Those days happen to all of us. However, if you are feeling so stressed that you are not sleeping well, have scary thoughts, or just cannot seem to get motivated to do your daily work, then this is for you.

In John 16:33, Jesus is warning His students of what is coming. The news is not good from their perspective. But Jesus says, "I've told you all this so that trusting in Me, you will be unshakable & deeply assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I have conquered the world."

When things begin to close in on you, or you feel like you are against the wall and all alone, remember this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. God is with you, cheering you on, supporting you, and even speaking to your heart. Listen....

Father said there would be days like this, but you'll be okay if you hold onto His mighty hand. He created His Body, the Church, so that you could not only continue to work at bringing others to know Him, but so that you would have a built-in family to support you in your effort of surviving and even thriving in this godless world.

Here are some things that God tells us will help, too:

Stay hydrated: dehydration affects the brain & how you think, including your ability to function. Lack of water can make you feel tired & confused.

Skip sugar: it is a quick high followed by a low that drains you & causes inflammation/pain, It's more addictive to the brain than cocaine!

Breathe: 3 times take a very deep breathe through your nose and slowly exhale through pursed lips. It calms and restores oxygen for your brain/blood.

Go outside & move: Breathe fresh air. Do a short walk. Pick weeds. Whatever you do, feel the sun and hear the birds and think of how God gave those things today for your pleasure.

Exercise: do stretches, pilates, or just clean something! The movement and distraction will give your brain what it needs to move ahead.

Take a nap: Sleep is healing. Even Jesus napped! Mute your phone. Quiet noises. Lay comfortably. Take off your shoes. Find a nice soft cover. And breathe....

Finally, phone a friend. Or me.

Talk to someone non-ju0gemental. Let them know you just need to talk. Let them know if you Do or DO NOT want advice. Get it off your chest/mind. Then....

Pray for God's guidance, correction, direction or healing comfort and peace.

There. You're not alone.

He will come back.... maybe soon.

Keep hope alive.
